Sea of Cortez liveaboard route map
The route

We sail a relaxed loop from La Paz into the islands of the southern Sea of Cortez, choosing anchorages based on conditions, wildlife, and light — not a rigid schedule.

  • La Paz — easy arrivals, calm embarkation.
  • Espíritu Santo — sea lions, turquoise coves, paddleboarding.
  • Isla San Francisco & nearby bays — quiet nights, wide beaches.
  • Open channels (seasonal) — whale corridors and dolphin encounters.

Distances are short by design. The emphasis is on lingering — swimming, reading, photography, and long dinners on deck (with a private chef + local pairings).

Why this trip
Less “see everything,” more “feel the place.” We choose just a few anchorages — sea lion colonies, whale corridors, sand spits that glow at sunset — and stay long enough for it to sink in.
  • Modern Lagoon 60 with ensuite cabins and real deck space.
  • Local captain + Búho host who live and work in Baja.
  • Flexible days: snorkeling, whales, shore walks, or just reading on deck.
  • Curated meals + local fare + pairings by a private chef — including sashimi from fish caught minutes prior when conditions allow.
  • Pro-level wind sports (kite/wing) + eFoil options, and snorkel certification for guests who want it.
Who it’s for
Good fit if you:
  • Prefer small groups and quiet water over big-ship cruises.
  • Enjoy wildlife, photography, and long dinners more than nightlife.
  • Are comfortable on boats and like the idea of barefoot days.
  • Want the option to level up skills (wind sports, eFoil, snorkeling) without turning the trip into a “camp.”
